Date:  Jan 28, 2016
Time:  9:00 am - 12:00 pm EST

We will be discussing and sketching out OpenBEL architecture diagrams and OpenBEL Ecosystem diagrams using the new OpenBEL terminology derived from the recent BEL Terminology survey.  All are welcome to join.  After we get the diagrams converted to a digital format (we'll be focusing a webcam on an actual whiteboard for the initial discussions :), we'll publish them on the OpenBEL Wiki.

The terminology page has been updated to reflect the survey and weekly meeting discussions.

We'll start with a quick review in tomorrow's session.

Hi Tony,

That looks really good, consistent and clear language.  Thanks for getting this out before our Architecture discussion tmrw morning.

In case GitHub doesn't come back to life before the meeting...

Here are the original terminology files.

Moved the terminology page to OpenBEL/openbel-platform so that we can collaborate.

We can use this repository to hold system design and diagrams as well.

Thanks to everybody for a productive meeting yesterday!

In the meeting we discussed:

- A review of BEL terminology.
- [Diagram] Dataflow from Nanopub sources to BEL Knowledge Network (BKN) creation.
- [Diagram] The components of the OpenBEL Ecosystem.
- [Diagram] Transformation from Nanopub to RDF or BKN.

The architectural diagrams were added to the OpenBEL Platform repository (direct link).

Does anyone have the notes from the discussion? Particularly around suggestions/feedback to BEL terminology?

Thanks,
Tony

Sumit had a lot of notes that he’s going to add to the Terminology issue queue.  I’ve already added mine to the issue queue https://github.com/OpenBEL/openbel-platform/issues

I also have a note that we need to schedule an RDF Schema review and documentation meeting.
