Greetings Open Education Friends:

Open Education Resources (OER) have a central role* to play in Sustainable Development Goal 4: Education which calls for the international community to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” with its key pillars of access, equity and inclusion.

Together with UNESCO, Slovenia is inviting countries to collaborate, explore and exchange best practices in the digital and open transformation of education. Slovenia will organize and host the 2nd World OER Congress in cooperation with the Commonwealth of Learning, Creative Commons, the UNESCO Chair on Open Technologies for OER and Open Learning, the Knowledge 4 All Foundation and other partners.**
