I have a Windows XP system running my observatory and have been using PHD2 successfully.

Today I upgraded to 2.6.3 dev3 and it fails to run with the error message that winusb.dll cannot be found.

I've searched for the drivers but cannot find a link on the Microsoft website presumably because xp is no longer supported.

Is winusb.dll essential for the latest version or is it a bug?  If it is essential could the driver installation be included in the PHD2 install file?

Regards

Roy

Roy,

Do you have a winusb.dll in C:\windows\system32\

Also, what guide camera are you using?

Hi Andy,

I've PM'ed you with the attachment containing winusb for XP.  GMail doesn't like the attachment so I've renamed it and resent the email.

Hope it gets through so other XP users can get v2.6.3dev3+ working.

Regards

Roy

Roy, got it. Thanks for tracking it down!

If anyone else needs it, the file is here: winusb for XP
Extract the zip file and run update.exe in the update folder.

Andy
