Validate your OCD division identifiers w/ Google Spreadsheet

  I'm happy to release a validator for checking that your OCD division identifiers (i.e., the ones you add to your datasets) agree with what's in github. It's darn easy to use -- make a copy of the spreadsheet, add the identifiers from your dataset, and run the script (you may have to permission the script). Note there's a help tab in the spreadsheet if you have trouble. You'll also want to read that fine print if you have thousands of identifiers to check.

  Feedback is appreciated of course. I want to make this tool as easy as possible, as I believe it will aid in adoption of the identifiers. So, please let me know about your experience.

Hey Aaron,

Not sure if you're still checking this, but I'm using your OCD-ID validator (awesome) and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with American Samoa legislative houses, upper and lower. Any ideas? I didn't see the IDs in github, or in the exceptions list.

Hi Nolan,

  It's been a while since I added to OCD IDs, but I bet the legislative houses for territories aren't in there. By all means create a pull request to add them; they'd be a welcome addition.
