ping app in omnet++

Hi,

when i want display the number of ping in omnet++, i have always count()=0

*.host[0].numPingApps = 0
*.host[0].pingApp[0].destAddr = ""

*.host[*].numPingApps = 1
*.host[*].pingApp[0].destAddr = "host[0]"

how to resolve this problem
