Hi,

I'm trying to run this inet showcase "Visualizing the Physical Environment". Unlike what's described in the documentation, the only visualizer that works is the 3D visualization. The default and isometric view don't work for me.

The source code has been partially commented out in the repo. Is it expected that the those views cannot be shown?

    Anyone have the same issue?

    Thanks in advance.

(I'm using OMNeT 5.2 with inet 3.6.2)

Thanks for reporting this.
We checked it with omnetpp 5.2 and inet 3.6.2 downloaded from the site.
We ran showcases/visualizer/environment/omnetpp.ini in qtenv, and chose the DefaultView and IsometricView configurations.
Both worked correctly in 2D and 3D as well.
You might want to try zooming and scrolling because the content might be out of the screen.
Otherwise, could you be more specific?

Both default and isometric views are (incorrectly) shown in 3D.
I ran them in Qtenv. Here are the screenshots.

The screenshots you attached show the proper 3D view which you can rotate, zoom, pan just like in any 3D program. The isometric view is a 2D/3D cheat for people who don't have OSG installed which would provide proper 3D support.

You need to switch the Network Inspector from 3D (OSG) to 2D (Canvas) mode, using the buttons in the top right corner of the inspector, on the toolbar.
The two mode switching buttons are the two rightmost buttons on the inspector toolbar, one (the currently selected) is a little Globe, the other is a grey rectangle with smaller blue rectangles in it.
