Hello,

I am working on a project which studies the coexistence of LTE-U and WiFi. I was able to implement LTE-U and WiFi in the same geographic location. For, that I used the simuLTE framework and the inet version 3.4. The two networks work independently, but don't seem to sense the presence of each other even though they are both located close to each other and operate at the same frequency of 2.4GHz. I have setup a link budget for LTE and WiFi for multiple scenarios. I varied the signal power in both networks to make sure that they would normally interfere with each other in theory and force WiFi to remain in backoff mode. But I figured that the WiFi traffic did not change regardless of the LTE activity. Please, does anybody know whether it is possible to make LTE and WiFi sense each other using simuLTE and inet? If yes, how could I make this happen? Thanks.

Hello,
We are also working on coexistence issues and faced similar problem while working with coexistence issue between WiFi and Narrowband WPAN of 802.15.4. In the beginning there also they didn't recognize each others signals. After that by modifying few parameters including the Bandwidth occupancy and by removing few comments in the C++ source files, we were able to solve this problem. We have worked with simuLTE also. if u can describe more about the problem or share the few lines of code with which u tried the coexistence, we can also look into it to trace the problem.
