Call for Chapters

Proposals Submission Deadline: August 1, 2015
Full Chapters Due: December 15, 2015
Submission Date: May 15, 2016

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before August 1, 2014, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by September 15, 2015 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by December 15, 2015, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at http://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Objective

The objective of this title is to present a concise and comprehensive foundation on the key elements in terms of enabling technologies and how these technologies are networked for effective communication to bring about IoT. It will present the technological evolution, standards and implementation platforms for communication in IoT. Alongside, it shall highlight recent achievements, pinpoint the challenges, open research and implementation issues. As such, it is intended that the book will be a single source of reference for acquiring strong fundamental knowledge on IoT, protocols, and it’s enabling Technologies.


Target Audience

This book is targeted to be a first reference material for graduating students and new researchers in the area of IoT. It is also structured so that to will find relevance as a textbook for graduate students taking courses in Emerging Wireless Technologies and special areas in Communication Engineering.
