Compatibility of veins older version with Omnetpp

Hello, 

I am wondering if Veins compatibility change if i switch to a newer version of Omnetpp ?

For example, i am using Veins2.0-rc1, i know that this version is compatible only with Mixim 2.2 & Sumo 0.13, but is it also related to the use of Omnetpp 4.2 ? or Omnetpp 4.x ?
