Hello everybody,

I am facing a problem while trying to run the veins and the heterogeneous example of veins that is being included in the veins-lte-veins-lte-1.2.

I am working on omnet++4.6, sumo 0.22.0 and have downloaded and imported the veins-lte-veins-lte-1.2 version on ubuntu.

I have imported and built inet, lte, veins separately one after the other, while I have also included the with The INET Framework on the veins > Project Features.

Could anyone provide me an instruction guidance in order to solve the problem.

1)What I tried is to delete veins folder from the veins-lte-veins-lte-1.2 folder and add the veins-4a2 version to avoid the Coordh. errors in order to solve the problem, but I am still having errors.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to overlap this errors, should I change the veins folder of veins-lte-veins-lte-1.2 with any other particular veins version and add the heterogeneous folder afterwards to my new veins folder on veins-lte-veins-lte-1.2,  in

order to have the heterogeneous example running.

Could anyone give me the right configuration steps for either veins-lte-veins-lte-1.2 or veins-lte-veins-lte-1.1 versions in order to finally run my veins - heterogeneous example.(the exact veins version

and the heterogeneous folder from which veins-lte-veins-lte- version to combine.

I have also 8 Coordh. errors

My error message is :

Hi,

by exchanging the Veins folder you are completely breaking Veins LTE.
When installing Veins LTE, did you follow the instructions written on [1]?

Dear Florian,

And how about exchanging the simulte folder in Veins LTE project? Am I breaking Veins LTE too? I'm trying to incorporate features of the new version of simulte (e.g., handover, d2d communication) in Veins LTE. Do you believe which is a possible way to do that?

Best regards,

Douglas

Hi Douglas,

in theory it is possible to incorporate the new features into Veins LTE.
But it is not straightforward as certain aspects of vehicles (e.g.,
leaving and entering the simulation) are not considered in the
implementation. We are currently evaluating how these new features can
be integrated and if we are successful release them. But sadly I cannot
give you an ETA yet.
