Veins-Lte simulations awfully slow

Hello Everyone,

I am using the veins-lte framework under omnet++ on ubuntu. However, the simulations that I am doing with it are really really slow, especially the ones with more nodes on the map. I have done some of the tips that are around the internet, like update frequency, animations,etc. It is still the same. Can you maybe suggest something else?
