Saving scalar results from multiple runs in one file?

Hi all,

I'm running a lot (~10^8) of pretty lightweight simulations with just a few scalar values as a result. If I go with a conventional way of saving the results, I'll get really a lot of .sca files to process :) is there any way of storing results from all runs into one file? If yes, would it hinder parallelization?
