How to filter repeating metadata elements

I have a question about filters. 

The Search By Metadata plugin creates a filter for each selected metadata element. If I check DC Subject, it creates a filter Display Item Dublin Core Subject. From testing and looking at the link() function in the plugin, I do not see support for repeating metadata elements (when more than one DC Subject is assigned to an Item). Is there currently support for filtering all the repeating values?
