User groups in Omeka

Hi, somebody know about if Gropus plug-ins  for Omeka. I found this https://github.com/omeka/plugin-Groups, but does not work in 2.x.

We looking for plug-in to manage ACL style access and visibility to resources.

That plugin was part of a now-defunct project, so there is no active development on it. If anyone wants to fork it and try to fix it up, please feel free!
