As required by our organization, the annual meeting of the Omaha Maker Group, Inc. is hereby scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th, 2015. Meeting will start at 7:00pm. The purpose of the meeting is to elect new officers and Directors for the 2015 fiscal year, as well as to vote on new bylaws.
As required by our organization, the annual meeting of the Omaha Maker Group, Inc. is hereby scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th, 2015. Meeting will start at 7:00pm. The purpose of the meeting is to elect new officers and Directors for the 2015 fiscal year, as well as to vote on new bylaws.
Because of our success, we have essentially "outgrown" our original bylaws, which were setup based on a much smaller organization. Our new bylaws will create a smaller official management structure and will make it easier to convene a quorum, should changes be necessary.
Each membership constitutes a voter (so families that share a single membership get one vote total, not one for each family member). Please note that once the meeting is completed, there will be open shop time.
For your planning purposes, the 2014 slate is currently:
President: Eric Kaplan
Vice President: Ben Hutcheson
Treasurer: James Harr
Director: Brandon Norris
Director: Dave Thacker
Director: Sarah Edwards
Although none of the above has indicated that they would not serve again if asked, you should still be prepared to discuss nominations for each office. If you have any questions about the roles, responsibilities, or anything else relevant, please ask. We look forward to seeing you on the 14th!

Folks (members),
If you can only make it to one meeting, please try your best to be at this one. We need a quorum (greater than 50% of our members) present in order to conduct elections.
