If you find yourself in Denver anytime soon, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. Motors, bearings, sheet vinyl, every possible tool you could imagine, a crazy assortment of new and salvage hardware, and more. I spent over an hour just wandering the aisles.

So you can probably start to figure out that when I have time to kill in a city that I am traveling through, I start looking for surplus stores (and model train stores or hobby shops, but that's another show).

Anyhow, I was in Houston yesterday and came across Electronic Parts Outlet.  Unbelievable selection, from used oscilloscopes to robotics and cameras to components.  I thought their prices were high ($15 for an assortment of LEDs?), but if you had an immediate need for something, they had it.  New and salvage.  Lots of motors and fans.  They also have an impressive collection of kits, ready to solder.

Would be worth your time if you're in the area.
