OMG Board of Directors

Hi folks,

The OMG Board of Directors had a quarterly board meeting last week.  There are some exciting things going on, all of which should prove to make YOUR makerpace even better than before!

One of the things we discussed was our upcoming annual meeting and election of officers.  For those of you that were around last year, you will remember that we voted as an organization to restructure the administration of the group.  This involved a slight change to the governance of the organization and an update to the bylaws.  Election of officers is now from the Board of Directors, not the general membership.

If you would like to be involved in the "behind the scenes" operation of the Omaha Maker Group, either as a Director or an Officer, the process is easy.  All you need to do is express your interest to one of the following current officers:

     Eric Kaplan

     Ben Hutcheson

     James Harr

We will present your intent to the entire Board of Directors, who will vote on your acceptance.

We would like to have your interest noted by the end of the OMGWTFBBQ on May 21st, or before.  We will conduct our voting, and will notify you shortly after that.  You will be invited to the next quarterly Board meeting, to be held in June.  During that meeting, all active Directors (of which you would be) will be eligible to stand for election as an officer.

So let one of us know if you'd like to get more involved.  And if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to talk to me directly.
