I received a notice today from Cox that they are going to start charging overages. I hadn't paid attention to data usage previously and was surprised to find we use 1.5-1.7 TB monthly. Unfortunately, that'll cost me $120-140 per month in overage charges.

Any recommendations to monitor the devices on the network to determine the data hogs?

We received the notice for our _business_  account, but come nowhere near 1TB.

untangle gateway does this.  There is a secret way to get this for home use for no charge.

Without fancy networking hardware, it'd probably be a feature of your firewall, wouldn't it?

I have a new EdgeRouter and haven't dig in much. Hopefully, it can analyze.

I think the 6 NestCams at 1080p might explain a fair amount of the data. I'm going to drop them all to 720p and set 2 to be off during the day and see what happens.

So our homes overages based on there pricing. Would be $700.00 this month. So it would be $823.00 just for internet...... :-(

Ouch

What is strange to me is that all the plans are capped at 1TB. Having Ultimate just makes me get there faster :-)
