Upcoming Makerspace Improvement Work Days - We need YOUR help!

Hey gang, as Eric has mentioned, we're really in the final stretch with all of the makerspace improvement projects, and we need YOUR help for the last big push over the next two weeks. Below is a list of dates, and the primary tasks to be accomplished. I know some of them are a few weeks out, and folks are busy with "End of summer" and "Back to school" (myself included), so any time that you can help out is appreciated.

Tuesday 8/15 (Tomorrow): Finish sanding drywall repairs in the front room

Saturday 8/19 8am (This weekend): Painting in the front room, pick up and rearrange Dirty Shop

Sunday 8/27 10am (Next Weekend): Arranging furniture in front room, main work area. Hang things back on walls (Whiteboards, projector screens, etc), "finishing up"

If you're available to help out with any of these dates, please reply to this thread so we can plan appropriately in terms of equipment and task scaling (ie if we have lots of help, we can be prepared to tackle bigger tasks)

Remember folks, this is YOUR makerspace; Take this opportunity to put your mark on it and make it your own.

All of our hard work will culminate in Founding Day, OMG's 7th anniversary on Tuesday, August 29th. Dinner starts around 6, meeting and awards at 7, and dessert thereafter. Eric and I have come up with a few interesting things for a raffle, so we'll be drawing for that after dessert.

This is an "open house"-type event, and members are encouraged to bring guests. It's a great opportunity to invite your Maker-inclined friends, family and co-workers to see our new and improved space and find out what the Omaha Maker Group is all about.

Please RSVP below, indicating whether you'll attend for dinner, dessert, both or neither. I probably need to order food the Friday before, so if folks could be RSVP'd by the 25th, that'd be helpful.
