Help finding source for this "proximity sensor"?

I found a little arduino project(1) that makes a  jack 'o lantern trigger some lights and noises when someone gets close to it  The author of the video uses a part he calls a"proximity sensor." (picture below)

My searches in Mouser, DigiKey or Ebay are finding a lot of proximity sensors but nothing like this part.   I'm finding part thats are $20 or more and I think this would probably be less than $10. 

Could someone point me to a the place to find the part? Thanks in advance!
