Which part? A clean-shaven copy of Brandon?

Short version: first plaster your face, then fill the negative face cast with plaster, then vacuum form the positive face to make a mask, then overstretch a second vacuum form of something, then stick your face in it.

Pretty effective life mask.  So Brandon plastered his face?   If so, how was it removed later without excruciating effects on beard hair?

Getting plastered by yourself isn't very practical, so I helped.

We were not going for perfect detail so we wrapped his head in plastic wrap first, and then protected the exposed bits with Vaseline.

It worked pretty well, came off quite easily. The plastic does leave some imprints in the mold though. For the best detail it might work better to use lots and lots of Vaseline (or maybe cornstarch gel, which would be less prone to melting) to stick down and encapsulate hair. It's kind of a huge mess though.

Kudos.  That's pretty good guys.   The death mask style of Anne Boleyn or Mary Queen of Scotts came to mind.   How did you acheive the surrounding flair?   Is it two sheets of plastic?

The surrounding piece is just the scrap left over after cutting the face part off. the mold has a couple risers under it that made it raised a couple inches, and the plastic sucked in around them.
