Hey all,

Here's the description:

---- Snip ----

Decouple All The Things: Asynchronous Messaging Keeps it Simple, by Kerstin Puschke (@titanoboa42 on Twitter)

If a customer changes their address, updating a single record isn't enough in a distributed system: client apps processing orders or creating invoices have to learn about the update. If you propagate it via REST, a client that is temporarily down misses out. Adding new clients requires changes to the main app.

Asynchronous messaging avoids such a tight coupling and has proven useful for parallelizing computing-heavy tasks, load testing, or migrating existing components.

You're going to learn how asynchronous messaging helps to keep your codebase clean and your overall system stable.
