New release R8

Hi,

I am glad to announce a new release of Octave UPM. R8 comes with several new features, and some bugs fixed. This release is available in English (GNU/Linux, Windows) and Spanish (Windows).

New features include a graphics editor (you can retouch graphics and export to image formats), and a packages installer for the Windows version. Now, at install time, you can select what packages will be installed along with Octave.

The previous version had some problems with the workspace (previewing multi dimensional arrays) and the debugger. These have been fixed in R8.

Get the files for Windows at http://forja.rediris.es/frs/download.php/2841/Octave-UPM-R8-setup.exe and at http://forja.rediris.es/frs/download.php/2664/vcredist_x86.exe (if you need the Visual C++ 2010 libraries)

For Ubuntu, there are packages for Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 at https://launchpad.net/~herraiz/+archive/octave-upm (packages are being uploaded at the moment of writing this, please allow for a couple of hours before the PPA is ready).

For Archlinux, there is a package in the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/octave-upm/
