CPCollectionViewItem & Bindings

All,

is CPCollectionViewItem supposed to support bindings? I can create CPCollectionViews and customised CPCollectionViewItem views in IB w/o any problem. Aside from some resizing issues I do even see the correct number of items in the CollectionView. But it seems that the CPCollectionViewItem view doesn't pick up the bindings.

Anyone?

CPCollectionViewItem supports bindings only if it is in a standalone cib. See CPCollectionView the documentation.

Thanks for the hint. I found the segment in the docs.

Putting the CPCollectionViewItem and its view into a separate cib works.

Although I have to admit I swapped CPCollectionView with CPTableView now. Unless I've missed something the functionality and bindings support in CPCollectionView is not great yet :-(

In CPCollectionView we have bindings for content and selectionIndexes. Is there something not working or other binding support that would be useful ?

This was my mistake. After taking a look at the tests I realised I need to bind selectionIndexes as well. Now everything works as expected and am back (again) to using CPCollectionView.

Can you remind me what is the state of this (CPCollectionView lazy loading).

I have a branch for this and I remember we talked about it but I can't find any issue or pr ...

your branch was fully functional when i tested it some months ago.

you did not file the PR because you did not write the unit tests yet.
