Looks like an opportunity for a new language for the web:

It currently has the major limitation that it can't access the DOM
without calling into Javascript...not sure if that's an inherent
limitation or something that might change in the future.

But in any case the ability to use different languages targeting the
browser without having to transpile to Javascript is a big deal.
