Fish Farming AgriHack is an initiative of the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), Netherlands which aims to capitalize on the expansion of mobile phone and internet use to tackle challenges resilient to the fish farming value chain. The West African edition is co-sponsored and implemented by LoftyInc Allied Partners Limited (through Wennovation Hub Initiative Lte/Gte). As with previous editions (in East Africa, Caribbean and Durban), AgriHack calls on innovators, coders and fish farming enthusiasts from all around West Africa to come together to develop commercially viable mobile, web applications and innovative tools to fish farming challenges in their ecosystems.

The beauty of this challenge is, Apart from the Euro 1850 and 4.5 months business incubation, winning teams already have a market to pilot their product as Wennovation Hub already established relationships with the Lagos state ministry of Agriculture, LASCAFAN and AgricYES (both agric groups). This market is waiting for a truly viable mobile solution focused on fish farming.
