Hi Folks!

I have some sad news. The presenter for this month has had a conflict with work come up and as you can guess work won. :(

SO if anyone wants to step and be a hero that would be awesome OR if you would like to suggest something to do for the meeting (Project Work, Hang, Watch the Princess Bride, what evs) give some feed back to the list.

Thanks!

- Mike

My band practice is at that same time, so I won't ever be able to make that time.

Maybe we can discuss common interests? That's a lot of ground to cover, but perhaps rather than just career related content, we can map out things about tech affecting us personally. Or anything that would get people involved, and not just Linux.

I used to watch a podcast called Geek Beat and they changed a bit in that now they don't just cover tech for the sake of tech, but how it can help us in an enriching life in talking about food, music, culture. It's a mobile world now. We tend to get out and share the online experience still thanks to smartphones and tablets and to a lesser degree, laptops. Perhaps we need to make this group mobile, and either start a social media page or pages. Even make it inviting to the average person. Perhaps even preach Linux working with other operating systems from Android to iOS. Linux is about choice and integration. Now that there's newer more popular choices out there, we need to be the Samba of Linux rather than the, oh our OS is better and this is why. I think being a replacement should give way to being complimentary.
