Hello NYC Resistors,

I’m looking to fill a summer teaching spot which, for the right candidate, could lead to a year-round teaching opportunity.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you so much for your help.

Game Design Camp for Teens
2 sessions, July 6th-17th, 20th-31st, M-F 9am -4pm
Inquiries to ale...@ramapo.edu

In this two-week summer hands-on course, students are introduced to a variety of game design concepts and methods using Adobe Flash and ActionScript 3.0 to conceive, design and make functional games for the web. Other game programming standards such as HTML5 and Javascript that are used in mobile app development are also explored. Students deconstruct several game projects and learn the fundamentals of programming concepts that can translate to a myriad of game programming environments. The program covers game types such as memory and match games as well as platform, side scrollers and quiz games. Students learn about game theory, design standards and user experience and apply this knowledge in individual projects. Each student’s culminating project will incorporate personal style with programming to create a fully functional online game!
