Does anyone have a classic Macintosh ADB keyboard and mouse cluttering
up their closet? I'm building a new ARM-based motherboard for my Mac SE
(which should also work on a 128, Plus or Classic) and want to add
support for the original keyboards and mice.

Sounds like a fun project.  At a very old job I had a box of 100's of these.  They've sadly been recycled by now.  But I'd check around the net, as I'm sure there are some to be found.  For example eBay turned up a bunch betwee $20 and $30 something bucks.  But obviously it would be nice to get one locally for free.

Cheers

Might be worth a trip down to Lower East Side Ecology Center's main depot in Brooklyn. They've let me pick through things in the past, and are passionate about seeing tech get a second life. You'd be stunned by all the good stuff that gets sent through there.

Oh wow, an Apple IIe.  As much as I dislike Apple these days I loved that machine.  Would love that machine for the lab as a conversation piece.....

That would be great! I'm also looking for a second classic Mac body
with a working CRT and in addition to the keyboard and mouse.

Speaking of which i am looking for either Macintosh 128,512,plus or the Mac SE or classic, functional or not,

Also for OP are you interested in an ADB touchpad? (From salvaged iBooks)

Hudson, would you be interested in parting with that Apple IIe?

I think I have an Apple IIc that I'd part with (CPU only)...

Astrida loaned me her original Mac SE keyboard and mouse.  I now have a working ADB to USB adapter: http://www.flickr.com/photos/osr/12398938953/in/photostream/
