So I decided to wipe out my SD card and start over on my Pi, after multiple attempts to move forward. I Already downloaded The operating system zip file back on to the SD and am ready to give it a go again. The problem last time is I think I did things in the wrong order and maybe got the programs from the wrong places... I'm ready to do it again with hopefully the right amount of attention to the details so it can work... Its not like I'm trying to get to mars. I just want to get the Tnc to run on Exastir.. lol.

So What are the steps in the right order to make this thing sing?

After Roberts help I think I'm starting to understand how to move around the unit so hit me!

Thanks in advance!

Hey Andy;

Yes I built one, but I have never used it beyond testing (sorry).  It pains me to admit that I never tested it with a Pi.  I just got it to the point of tone encode/decode working, then set it aside.   I use Kenwood 700A transceivers (with internal TNCs) in my home and car day to day, so I never had a real use for it.

Thanks for the come back Brian. I get a kick out of how hard it is to get this thing to work but on the other side I have no experience with them so fare is fare.. I will keep tinkering with it and maybe I will get lucky. As for Kenwood stuff I'm with yah! I love my kenwood gear and have been making some good progress there...

Just stick to the Pi-TNC manual this time.

The stuff in the repositories might not be the most recent versions they will work.
