Mount Baker Amateur Radio Club View this email in your browser UDRC-II Group Order A few months ago Bryan Hoyer, K7UDR, spoke at our meeting about voice digital modes. He also showed us a new product that he has designed called the UDRC (Universal Digital Radio Controller). This is a board that plugs onto a Raspberry Pi and allows you to do many digital things with your Ham Radios. The MBARC Digital Group has been experimenting with the boards and find them to be a great way to do Packet Radio, Winlink, and APRS. Northwest Digital Radio is offering a discount for group purchases of the UDRC-II and we would like to invite you to take advantage of the offer with us.   The UDRC, pictured here, sells for 89.95 There are two tiers of discounts depending on how many we order. They are 5% for 5 and 10% for 10. It comes with a six pin DIN cable to hook it to your radio. It can control two radios at the same time with the second connector or through-holes on the board. I will handle the order for us with PayPal. I will see Bryan on Friday and pick up the boards. I will then bring them to the Digital Group meeting next Tuesday where you can pick them up. If you are not able to attend that meeting we can make arrangements. Please, local orders only. If you do not live in the Whatcom area, please order direct from NWDR. If you would like to participate in this order, simply reply to this email no later than 8 pm this Thursday. Let me know how many you would like. I will then have PayPal send you a request for the regular price. DON'T PAY IT. After we place our order and find out our discounted price I will edit the PayPal request to reflect the new price. Wait until you get a notice from PayPal that the price has changed and then pay it. I will incur some nominal PayPal fees doing this which I will ask the MBARC Digital Group to reimburse. Please note: This board plugs into a Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 which you must obtain separately. Art, KC7SDA, is working on a group order for the Pi's. He will update us on that.
