Research Transparency and Reproducibility Training (RT2)
When: September 20-22, 2017
Where: Friends House, London, England

Registration is now open for the second Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS) Research Transparency and Reproducibility Training (RT2) in London, England! Formerly the Summer Institute, this 3-day workshop is designed for graduate students, post-docs, and junior faculty who are eager to learn more about cutting-edge mechanisms for transparent and reproducible social science research. The curriculum will be taught by academic leaders in the open science movement and is designed to create space for collaborative work and hands-on skill building. Covered topics will include:

  • Pre-Registration and Pre-Analysis Plans
  • Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
  • Data Preparation and De-Identification
  • Version Control w/ Github and Commandline Git
  • Dynamic Documents w/ Stata and R
  • Other innovative open science tools and software (e.g. Jupyter, Docker, and statcheck)

More information, including an agenda and registration instructions, are available on the BITSS website. Application materials must be submitted no later than June 22, 2017. Stipends for travel and accommodation will be available for a limited number of accepted participants.
