i am working on resource consumption attack.In MANET, nodes present
in the network have limited computational power, limited
bandwidth and limited battery power. A Malicious node or
attacker present in a network can waste off energy of other
nodes present in the network. Due to this reason network
breakdown can take place, so detection and prevention of such
type attack is a major concern to improve our network
performance.
in this a malicious nodes send unlimited RREQ to other nodes
and wasting the energy of another nodes,and attacker may try to send
request to IP
address that is not exist in the any node present in the network.
We use cluster mechanism to detect such type of attack in which there
is a cluster
head and gateway , every route request pass through this cluster head
and if the RREQ IS more than
some times than cluster head block that nodes.

i am also in problem to find the node processing overhead as the number of packets received increases. can u help me how can i find it in ns2
