Projection I think - we should do something similar.
Michael.
On a related note - Tron Legacy = Win.

Depends... how far you planning on cycling?

I'd advise budgeting to lose 1 bottle-opener per 8 beers opened. Even
if it's attached to your bike.

I also think that vending machines are awesome! - I bid on it just to
track the progress.

I'll talk to you on Weds about vans.

No, are you? :D
I think I just cost you 50p -- I'll repay you in the pub/cinema.

A '90s cold drinks machine will use 3000-4500 kwh/year. If we leave it
on 24/7, that'll be somewhere around 350-550 pa. And that is probably
a couple of tonnes of CO2 emissions? Plus they can be extremely noisy
... so please don't put a refrigerated one in the space.

could make one from el-wire!

Btw - for an arduino, is anyone going to feed 10-20+ in coins into the
machine? Could we hack the vending mechanism so we can pay online,
using something like sagepay or paypal?

What we need is a space... somewhere you could do hacking...
It's a shame I don't know of anywhere like that!

We shoul have a wiki or something to write this stuff down.
james - Yes we're going to need a bigger hackerspace... oh wait!
Me neither - £50 is a bit steep in the scheme of things right now!
When we move to the bigger space we will have room for a bike
maintenance and larger-scale mechanical hacking area. I'm determined
to build a good bike trailer (I already have the plan in mind and most
of the parts) and perhaps a bicycle rickshaw. Bicycles FTW!!!!
I'll get myself an arc welder if there are any left and keep it at the space for all to use.

We should adopt them!

Is that no one ever thinks they are being a dick. If you thought you
were being one you'd probably say "I'm being a dick... sorry."
Telling people they are being a dick... is a dickish thing to do
anyway... which I think is explained here

That is really nice.
I just love the tag line on the website. I can totally see how a modern led based digital watch will make you feel like the ancient norse god odin.

I would say that oasis and loft insulation foam are awesome things to start cutting with the cnc. The feed rate (movement speed) is practically irrelivant. Its like a hot knife through warm butter.
