Hi folks.

I'd like to offer a donation if anybody's interested.

I have a crate of LED tiles from a digiLED MC7 LED screen available if anybody wants them.  These are the same type as donated to the Las Vegas Hackspace  (Synshop) last year   (  see https://groups.google.com/d/msg/synshop/ov_LCQSXeds/jCaFP1iGBAAJ  )

Please let me know if this is of any interest.

Will also be offering to London space but I believe there's several hundred so plenty to go around.

All the best

Tom

I think this is something we'd be interested in.

Excellent.  Very glad to have them go to a good hack-home.

There's approximately 1500 of them that Im offering around various hack spaces.  Any idea what quantity you might like ?

Cheers

Hi Tom,

That is a lot of tiles ☺, where are they and how would we pick them up or would they sent? Also what approximate weight. I can see us wanting 100 (actually more judging by the twittering going on in our slack group).

many thanks,

Alan

there's a few choices here.

If anybody ever comes near Gatwick airport or Dorking I can direct you to our offices.  I could also run a car boot load up to Colchester one weekend if somebody could meet me there. Alternatively, 100 tiles would be a medium suitcase size package.... we could arrange for delivery if somebody is willing to pay.

Just let me know.

Hi Tom,

Sorry for delay, Colchester seems the way to go although I am in Brighton 3rd May if that comes sooner.
You could call me on 01692 580 638 and we can see what is best.

Are you in a hurry to clear your space?

Cheers,

Alan

Tom,

I have a Hackspace member who is driving back from Brighton today who might be able to drop in and pick up the tiles.
Is that possible, if so an address would be handy.
His name is Nicholas on mob 07949 917 286

Many thanks,

Alan

Tom,

Thank you for this, I believe he now working out how much of his belongings he really needs in his car with some encouragement from the Norwich hackers to go minimalist.

Cheers,

:-)

Glad to hear it.

As I said to Nicholas, please feel free to take as many as you can physically fit in the car.

BTW, there have been some updates on the London Hackspace group re how to light the things up and get them displaying stuff.   Please see https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/london-hack-space/RZeO143uh7A

Cheers
