Hello all,

Tomorrow night is 3D Thursday at the Maker_Space, an evening devoted to discussion, skill sharing and all things 3D printing. Come along and tell us about what you've been making (or what you want to make).

I've been playing around with a piece of software called nTopology Element PRo. It is designed to make it easy to generate mesh structures - structures that would be difficult or impossible to manufacture in any other way than Additive Manufacture. I'm happy to demo the software if anybody is interested. a green version of the software is available (never ending licence) for windows with limited (but still pretty unique capabilities) feature set. And if you get in touch with the folk that make it and explain that you are at a Maker_Space and not using it commercially, they will probably send you a full non-commercial licence (they did for me :). Check it out…

At the following 3d Thursday (3rd November), Jason is going to demonstrate his 'Structured Light' 3D scanning equipment. Anything that makes 3D scanning more reliable/accurate is good news, so put that date in your diary and pop along and learn some new skills.

Best,

Cay
