It is an early production with a low serial number, and when I contacted Shinola they told me that it was grandfathered into their new lifetime warrantee. The watch is very well finished, with the sandblast case unique, smoother than I expected. The dial is very readable, and it wears "smaller" then the 47mm size would predict. The leather strap seems first rate, and while I prefer metal straps it is comfortable and appears durable. I also appreciated the leather balm and leather watch slip case included with the watch. All in all I am happy with the watch, which seems a bargain as I was able to take advantage of the 3 day said.
