Issue installing node inspector on windows 10

I'm having an issue installing node inspector via npm on windows 10 64 bit. I tried installing visual studio which did not help. I have never used a mailing list before but I was directed here off of IRC so I am hoping someone can either help me out or point me in the right direction. This problem has hindered my development for over a week now as I've passively tried solving it.. If anyone could help me out it would be great.

Why not use the built-in inspector?
