NLTK for Bengali Language?

Does NLTK support the Bengali language? If not, is there any system to develop on my own and how?

Hey Sudarshan,
Many parts of NLTK could be used for Bengali, no problem! I don't
think it comes with pre-trained models or data for Bengali, but you
could train them yourself.
Could you share more about the problems you'd like to solve? Maybe
people on the list could point you to relevant resources?

Apologies for a slight off-topic, but access to the Bengali WordNet would be a fantastic addition to NLTK. Too bad, access to it is restricted to the web-based interface at: http://www.cfilt.iitb.ac.in/indowordnet/
