Fenced code blocks and line numbers

Hi all

I am using Nikola with markdown rather than restructured text.

I notice if I use 4 space indentation for code blocks I get line numbers but if I use fenced code blocks with ``` there are no line numbers.

My preference is fenced but I want line numbering. Is there a way to configure this?

You would have to configure the CodeHilite Markdown extension to
always use line numbering. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s
support for Markdown extension config options. Please create an issue
on GitHub for that.
