By default, Nikola pages are present at `/pages/foo-bar/`. How to remove `/pages/` slug and have pages at `/foo-bar/` in a static site?

Change your PAGES configuration. The second entry in every tuple is the directory, and you can change it from 'pages' to '' (empty string).
