Visitors:
A few more than yesterday - four-hundred and seventy-five, including an internationally known entymologist and virologist, a couple from Nantucket, and folks from various NH and MA cities.

Weather:
Zero visibility due to thick fog caused an hour delay in start time. Eventually clearing, it was warm (high in the upper 70s) with an increasingly strong SW wind. Partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Raptor Observations:
A few TVs and strong flyers. Local Cooper's Hawk perched on the rope swing sugar maple to start the day. 23 skidoo!

Non-raptor Observations:
Not much - no time for a walk today, and tractor noise and wind made ID difficult. A few bluebirds, mallards, and a Pileated were the most notable. Three Monarchs amazingly made progress against a solid headwind!

Predictions:
An overnight frontal passage and a change of wind to the northwest should bring some eager migrants - numbers should be good. Please come out to help spot raptors, but bring a coat! Ideal conditions for our first Goshawk of the season, and perhaps a Golden...
