We were hiking the Kinsmans today and saw 3 White-winged Crossbills at the Kinsman pond shelter.  They appeared to be eating something off a rock.  Heard some on our way up too but not sure if it was the same ones.  There was also a flock of 6 robins near the summit and at least 2 Boreal Chickadees between N and S Kinsman.  On the way down after watching a sunset on Bald Peak we think we heard a Saw-whet owl.  I took a video for sound and it compares to what we heard pm allaboutbirds.com  It was almost dark.
