American Crow

This area of Laconia, Lakeport, has been experiencing large evening flights of Crows.  The birds concentrate at dusk before swirling off to what must be a night roost, the location of which is still unknown.  They often fly over my home and concentrate in the trees around the other homes in the immediate area.  Last night’s flight was estimated at 1,500 birds.  Tonight I was able to make a better count and came up with 1,310.  Groups of 20 to 40 birds arrive all at once, making an accurate count difficult.  I will attempt to get off my SOA and find the final evening resting place for these Crows.
