Rick Heil called at 10:30am to report the BROWN PELICAN on the Salisbury Jetty. He is viewing the bird from the Plum Island jetty, which he said may be preferable as the bird three-quarters of the way out, and is down a bit on the PI side of the jetty, so he may not be viewable from Salisbury Beach. The bird is sleeping, but occasionally lifts his head.

Rick just called back 10:37am and said the pelican lifted off, flew right over him, and is heading south along Plum Island beach. It should be looked for along Lot 1, Sandy Point of even Crane Beach. It may come back to the jetties at high tide to roost.
