This afternoon on Pudding Pond there were 7 Hooded Mergansers and a lone Ring-necked Duck.

I have had up to 8 House Finch at my feeders daily for the past 2 weeks which is by far the most I've had compared to the 1 or 2 I'm used to. Interesting, that they have outlasted the Purple Finches this fall/winter who outnumbered them a month ago.
