Rare Bird Alert, New Hampshire, December 4, 2016

This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Sunday, December 4th,
2016.



A male EURASIAN WIGEON was seen in the southeast part of Great Bay in
Greenland on November 28th.



A male BARROW’S GOLDENEYE was seen on the Connecticut River in Hinsdale, and
another one was seen on Lake Winnisquam, both on December 4th.



A HARLEQUIN DUCK was seen off of Seabrook Beach on December 4th.



A RED-NECKED GREBE was seen on Lake Sunapee on December 3rd.



2 NORTHERN PINTAILS were seen on Bass Pond in Hudson on December 3rd.



2 NORTHERN SHRIKES were seen in Penacook, and 1 was seen at Woodmont Orchard
in Hollis, all on December 4th.



12 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen along Diamond Ledge Road in Sandwich on
November 29th.



12 SNOW BUNTINGS were seen along Fresh River Road, behind Lowe’s, in Epping
on November 28th.



6 RED CROSSBILLS were reported from Jackson on December 2nd, and 1 was seen
near North Hampton State Beach on the 3rd.



2 GREATER YELLOWLEGS were reported from Durham on December 3rd.



There was an unconfirmed report of an “AUDUBON’S” YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER in
Newmarket on December 3rd.



A BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER was seen at Greeley Park in Nashua on
December 4th.



A WILSON’S WARBLER was seen at South Mill Pond in Portsmouth on December
4th, and a RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET was seen here on the 2nd.



A YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was seen in Dover on November 30th.



2 male NORTHERN HARRIERS were seen in Charlestown on December 4th.



A NORTHERN GOSHAWK was seen in Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham on
November 28th.



There was an unconfirmed report of a GREAT GRAY OWL seen near the dam on
Dodge Pond in Lyman on November 25th.
