ImageMaxRewritesAtOnce: cannot be set at this scope

Hi,

I want to change the ImageMaxRewritesAtOnce directive but after changing my pagespeed.conf file I get the following message: 

nginx: [emerg] "pagespeed" directive "ImageMaxRewritesAtOnce" cannot be set at this scope. in .../theinnovationturn.com/conf/nginx/pagespeed.conf:1

Any ideas?

I think you need to specificy "ImageMaxRewritesAtOnce" inside a http{} block.

Can you please explain?  I have the same problem as the OP and don't know how to do what you are suggesting.

I am facing same issue here. Can you please explain, how you figured it out ? I am using Nginx 1.10.0 with pagespeed 1.11.33.2-beta

Make sure you specify this config directive in an nginx.conf http block, rather than a server block.

Also, our Beta channel is now on version 1.12.34.1-0.  Our stable channel is on 1.11.33.5-0.  I think you probably want to be on the latest beta or latest stable, as there were issues with MaxRewritesAtOnce in one of the older revisions, that should be resolve in both the latest beta and stable releases.
