Banded Herring Gull

Finally was able to read the metal tag on a Herring Gull hanging around QV Lake. 2406-17010. This gull was banded on July 18, 2001 at Witless Bay. That makes this gull nearly 14 years old! Looked very healthy in its spring attire.
