While searching for two baby crows I noted and spotted Yellow Warbler's both in Bannerman Park and across from the Basilica in the backyard of the B.I.S building. They were foraging in the high maples.I have noted a movement of Yellow Warbler's and a higher presence of them in the inner city or I'm just more aware. Two beautiful juvie crows sitting on top of a Park bench side by side as you enter Bannerman at the top of Rennies Mill and the family is attacking and striking people.

I had a Yellow Warbler singing (one day) out of my birch trees on and off over the past week. I took photos of it in fact because I thought it a little unusual too. First time seeing them on my property in my ten years here. I am fortunate to live close enough to Pippy Park (walking distance), that I do get the odd unexpected species. A White-throated sparrow once overwintered eating daily from my feeders. Of course, the Yellow Warbler was gleaning insects hiding in the underside of the newly forming leaves.
